The Highline Canal west of Gallatin Gateway had a rough winter. Ice dams caused for some overflow and bank erosion. With the help of some handy employees and equipment @sime_construction got the canal built back up and flowing agin.

Sime Construction’s annual safety meeting took place last week. Every year @sime_construction gets all the employees together to touch on safety topics to keep everybody safe in their work environment. Some of the topics this year included seatbelts and equipment ROPS, overview of rigging and material handling, slips trips and falls, confined space, proper PPE and when to use proper PPE items, overview of trench safety, and a DOT refresher course. A select group of employees also gather every 2 weeks to share topics to take back to each job site. Safety is the number one priority. Thank you @fudgemaster_96 for the drone video!

Happy Friday! Sime construction is installing a underground retention pond in this picture or also called a Storm Tech System, This system is being installed at Jack Rabbit Business Park. The systems are usually installed underneath parking lots and roadways to save on space. Storm Tech Systems are designed to be eco-friendly by cleaning storm water that is drained into the system through filtration with gravel and fabric before it drains back into the ground, The sediment that is trapped in the system can then be cleaned out through ports.
